Profile
As a control engineer, I enjoy turning theory into real-world systems. I’m especially drawn to machines that move and interact with their environment — like drones, robots, and autonomous vehicles. I like working across the full pipeline: from modeling and control design to embedded implementation and hands-on testing. Whether it’s tuning a nonlinear controller or chasing down a bug, I find joy in making complex things work cleanly and reliably.
Away from equations and code, you’ll likely find me strumming an acoustic guitar (with varying success) or out exploring new places on my motorcycle - preferably with good weather and even better views.
Experience
Research Engineer (Research Fellow) @ Sapienza
Duration: Summer 2025 - Present
For the SOAR-TOUCH project, I investigate how soft optical tactile sensing can enable energy-efficient and stable interactions for aerial robots under external disturbances. My work focuses on designing control strategies and integrating tactile perception on a hexarotor platform, with extensive simulations and hands-on experiments. This research bridges advanced control theory, machine learning, and embodied interaction to tackle real-world aerial manipulation challenges.
Autopilot Control Systems Engineer @ Sapienza Flight Team
Duration: Fall 2024 - Present
Since joining the team, our goal has been to build a tilt-rotor VTOL aircraft for the SUAS Competition. I've contributed significantly to the development from scratch of planning and control software for vertical and transition flight, conducting both simulations and field tests. I've also collaborated with other departments, gaining cross-disciplinary knowledge from fellow engineers.

Race Timing Specialist and Team Lead @ ICRON
Duration: Fall 2018 - Present
My collaboration with ICRON has evolved from a technician working with professional timing software and hardware to team leader, responsible for the setup and execution of race logistics and timing procedures, as well as the real-time generation and validation of athlete rankings, even in high-pressure environments. It has significantly strengthened my autonomy, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
